I'm a 26 year old male, living on the Central Coast of California. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 6 years ago. Since then, the disease has progressed and has rendered me unable to enjoy the activities I used to. While limited in range of motion in most joints, I still try to stretch and do physical activity everyday, however I'm finding it harder and harder to work through the pain. I used to body-build as a teenager and since my diagnosis, I've gained a lot of weight and I'm now at my heaviest. The reason I've come here, is to ask for suggestions. I really want to start working out again, at the least floor exercises like push-ups and sit-ups and maybe some bar cruels. Can anybody suggest things I can do, or meds I can take to help me get back to doing the hobbies I love?
