Reoccurring Sore Throats

Last year I had very severe reoccurring tonsillitis and in June last year had my tonsills out. Now I have had reoccuring sore throats about 5 times in the past 5-6 months. With the sore throats I get severe headaches, aching all over and feel really ill and run down. I have seen 3 different doctors each with a different diagnosis. The first doctor thought I was still getting tonisillitis, the second thought it was Laryngitis and the 3rd thinks it could be Acid Reflux burning the tubes. I really need an answer as to what it is and whether there is anything that can help as I am generally having to have about 1 week off a month from my job as a telemarketer. This is causing me to loose about £300 a month from my wages. Can anyone suggest anything?

  • Have your thyroid checked. TSH, T3, T4, and antibodies. Also have them do and ultrasound of your thyroid to check for a tumor. Sometimes the tumor can get inflammed and can cause sore throats but no infection, difficulty talking or feeling strained.Hope this helps
