A few months back I had unprotected sex.

About a day later I noticed some redness on the rim of my glans. I ignored it for a while and it just seemed to stay with some days being more noticeable than others. One day I got tired of it so I rubbed some Hydrocortisone 1% cream around the entire rim and glans. About a day later I noticed vastly increased redness on the glans of my penis directly above the rim.

During a one-week time period just before this all occurred my hygiene was not the greatest as the water was shut off over here. In fact I started to develop a mild case of jock itch which was cured in about 3 days with the spray Lamisil.

I showed my issue to one of the military medics who said he'd seen it before -- and that it was a bacterial infection. I then went to the Physician's assistant here and asked his thoughts on it -- he seemed pretty clueless but said it wasn't "genital warts" and recommend I used topical Lamisil which I did for about 5 days to no effect. After this I started using 'white vinegar' and apply it with a cotton ball and a bandaid for 15-20 minutes a time. The first couple times there was zero whiteness but the last few there has been some whiteness that goes away within a couple minutes -- the spots were bleeding a bit from the vinegar and I read scratches could show whiteness as could HSV.

Anyways, cracks have formed on my penis from the base of the glans to about 1cm from the urethra. Along these cracks are bumps that are bigger near the base. I've looked at literally hundreds of pictures of every STD and skin condition and nothing seems to definitively show what I have although I wonder if the pictures are simply of worst-case scenarios.

  • Candida/Thrush? You can actually get it from another. Try treating it using the same creams females with thrush use and see if that fixes it. (avoid sex while you are treating it).
