I am looking for any leads on what might be causing this annoying condition. I've always had small and icy hands and feet and have never thought twice about it, but the last year it seems to have evolved in something else. Either they are dark purple and like a block of ice (and extremely sensitive to hot and cold touch) or they are bright red and burning. The burning in my hands and feet seems to come mostly at night and even seeps all the way up my legs. It's not tingling, they just feel like they are on fire from the inside out. It keeps me from getting any sleep and i spend most of the night rubbing ice cubes all over my legs, feet and hands. The rest of my body isn't hot. I'm not sweating. It's a very dry heat.
I've been told it could be Raynauds Syndrome, but I've never experience a 3 color change. The instances of them being hot and red and cold and blue seem to be indepent from one another.
I also notice that by feet are practically black in the shower with large red patches all over my legs.
Any clues??? If it is Raynauds, does anyone have any tips on treatment?? It's mostly the night Hot-Red thing that's bugging me the most.
