Hi,

I have repeated pain in my right hip and back. Through last five years I have consulted many doctors but it is still there. Five years back I met an accident wherein I fractured my right hand and got it operated.

My recent reports have concluded the following

"Sacralisation of the 5th lumbar/Disc narrowing L4/L5

Bilaterally early sacro-iliac arthritis/Condensans ilii rt.side."

The pain exceeds to a point where I am unable to walk properly(it happens usually in morning hours, when I get up).

Please help

  • Hi ashimacl,I came to this site looking for a diagnosis on other concerns, however your post took my interest. Two years ago I also had an accident (motor vehicle), which destroyed my right elbow I had 4 operations on it over about 12 months to try to reconstruct it etc, however results wern't satisfactory - so I had to go for the last resort of a total elbow replacement, which happened in June this year. What interested me about your post, is that I also now (since the last operation) have sevear hip pain on the right side, however at the same time I also started to develop even more sevear shoulder pain in the right side.I know that lying on my right side in bed (my preferred position) will bring the pain on within an hour - first in the hip - which usually prompts me to move or roll over, if I try to puch through and perhaps fall back asleep, the shoulder pain will be cripling by the morning.I have not had this investigated at all, or even mentioned it to anyone other than my partner, however the similarities in your history to mine have sparked me to look into the cause, perhaps a link.Sorry I can't help at this moment; I will keep this thread updated with any investigations that I will invoke through my upper-limb surgeon and GP.Good luck.

I have had low back pain with hip pain as well. Those are my 2 diagnosis's. Took me 3 years and several DR.s to figure it out!!
