Since August 2008 I have had extremely severe, recurring joint pain mainly in my knees, I am only eighteen. I have to use a cane to walk when the pain is bad, and sometimes i just can't walk, my knuckles swell very badly, and the pain spreads to all of my joints. The only thing that helps are painkillers such as lortabs, etc. And those I have to take two or three to make the pain lessen to bearable levels. I don't like needing medication.
I have been tested for lupus, all kinds of arthritis and osteoporosis, all of which returned negative. Also a cet rate and inflammation rate tests have been conducted and returned normal.

I have had no tick bites or anything to contract lyme disease.
In the past few days I have developed full body twitches which may or may not be related to this.
I'm wondering if I should get a full body scan for the possibility of cancer caused paraneoplastic syndrome. But I would like some alternative theories to test for as well.

Today, while out of town visiting my girlfriend, she had to take me to the ER because of the severity of my pain and lack of any decent medication. This pain has also caused me to miss months of school, and drop out of regular high school for a more attendance lax place.

I need help so that I can finish school and get on with my life. I would appreciate any and all help.
Thanks.
