Hi everyone, New too the forums and just looking for some information regarding conjunctivitis. Bit of back history Im 41 yrs old, i never had issues with my eyes in the past, maybe the occasional hay-fever issue but nothing as serious, It started around the end of 2011 i have had constant issues with my right eye getting conjunctivitis, i noticed i starting getting it after i had a inner ear infection, i was getting it up too 3 times a week i was taking time off work because it looked like i was stoned all the time and i felt embarrassed when the redness went away it would just come back with either white stringy gunk or greenish gunk in the corner of my eye, my eye was never stuck together when i woke up, i finally had enough and went too the doctors and he gave me some ointment and told me it was bacterial conjunctivitis and the ointment seemed to have killed the issue. Around the middle of 2012 it came back again this time i went too the doctor straight away she told me i had dry eyes and prescribed eye drops which didnt nothing at all, so i sued the eye drops until the bottle ran out, i have put up with it for over a year now just last friday i woke up my eye was in full red mode with yellow / green gunk in the corner of my eye i didnt touch it i just went straight in too the community doctor he told me was bacterial conjunctivitis, i said yes yes i heard it all before he gave me some ointment this time called Chlorsig 1% takes 5 days and apply 3-4 times a day my 5th day was a couple of days ago. My eye seems to have cleared up but it feels watery but it doesn't look watery im going to continue using the ointment until the tube runs out to be safe. I woke up this morning and my eye is shut like before and it takes abit of stretching to get it open, but the good news is it's not full of gunk nor is it red like before, but also i have noticed my nose seems stuffy alot specially in the morning and my ears pop when i blow into an tissue, my nose does feel clogged like full of boogers but when i blow nothing comes out, even when i shower i blow my nose and nothing comes out but just feels clogged My final question is are the 2 issues be related some how? i asked my doctor he was vague on the question he said nose and throat eyes and ears are all connected he checked my ears and said there fine. Thanks for reading.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
