Recurring Canker Sores

i get canker sores all the time and hate them more than my mother-in-law's snide dinner-time comments (her cooking's bad enough as it is). i recently found out about this new OTC treatment that's fantastic.

cankermelts worked wonders for my mouth. i tried orajel, anebesol, lysine, salt-water rinses, alum, herbs, vitamins, you-name-it i-tried-it. like most of you, none of those worked too well for me. cankermelts was like a blessing.

they're little discs of some fancy scientific word that makes what it actually is (licorice root) sound more technical. they stick to your cheeks, gums and teeth and just dissolve on their own.

like any other medicine, the earlier in the progression of the symptom you apply it, the better these work. when i feel the tingle of a canker sore, i stick one of these puppies in my mouth. usually, within a single day's time, the sore is gone! sometimes, the sore never even appears!! :D

i first tried them on a full-grown sore and they eased the pain after about 5 min. the sore (about the size of a dime and ridiculously painful) was gone in 3 days. needless to say, i went right back to the store and stocked up.

i get them from CVS for about $8. anyone who gets canker sores needs to try these.
