I have this neck pain & headache for last 6 months. The pain also affects my shoulder.
I have been prescribed LANOL ER for the same.

Though, taking medicine relieves the pain, but the symptoms have been going worse. Nausea, lack of focus can be felt sometimes. Other symptoms were irritation, I don't want to speak & hear loud noises.

Now, doctor has prescribed me:
1. NUROKIND G (Gabapentin & Mecobalamin) - One tablet every night
2. Stalopam Plus (Escitalopram Oxalate & Clonazepam) - Half tablet every night

Though, the neck pain & headache is better, but I feel to be sad (kind of depressed) without any enthusiasm. Secondly, feels pukish most of the time.

Is the treatment okay for my condition? My another worry is the depression. Is that temporary because of medication?

  • In Oct, I went to a Neurologist. He diagnosed the disease to be Migraneous headache. For that, he has prescribed me:CIPLAR LA (Propranolol) 40 mg - DailyIt's been 3 months, I have been taking this medicine & I feel better in terms of Headache & Neckpain. But, sometimes, I feel difficult to speak (kind of slurred speech). I feel my mouth is producing excessive saliva. Is this some kind of side effect?Should I continue with CIPLAR LA?

  • If you feel the medication you are taking is not working for you, talk to your doctor and explain how it makes you feel. There are several different kinds of medications that can be prescribed for a particular problem. If your doctor is reluctant to change your medication, it never hurts to get a second opinion. After all, medication is supposed to make us feel better, not worse. Lyndsay, Health Advisor
