I went to the gyn about 6 months ago and he told me I had a small rectocele, and he would just keep an eye on it. He told me to avoid constipation, straining, etc, which I have done and have been doing kegel exercises.....soooo after all that. He said he would not recommend surgery due to my age (28)and only having one child This past week the problem has grown increasingly worse. I have gone a few days without a good bowel movement, and I am always very regular without the help of anything. It is even to the point that pressing on the bulge has no effect as the bulge is pretty while the entire lenght of the vagina! It feels like the entire vaginal vault is filled with the rectal prolapse and maybe much more, I think I may have bladder involvement now. Grrr!
The BIGGEST problem is, I just started a new job a few weeks ago and have no insurance for a few more weeks. I'm wondering what I can do to buy myself some time until I can get to the doctor to find out if what can be done. (I'm thinking I'll HAVE to have surgery now I guess.)
Just wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I can do to tide myself over until I can get to the doctor. I'm thinking...liquid diet?? I'm getting a little woried/desperate!
