I am 29 years old, and have been bleeding rectally as well as vaginally since my first period at 13. I didnt know it was unusual. I used to skip my periods for 3-6 months at a time, then bleed heavily for 8-19 days. the pain used to be so bad, that I would self medicate. Then I had 3 kids. My periods are more regular now thanks to birth control when I can find one that I dont have adverse reactions to. About 5 years ago, I started having periods where I would only bleed rectally, not vaginally. I went to urgent care, where they suggested a fissure, and to see my OB. I did, (not a fissure, )and have many times over the last few years. Ive seen a GI specialist, had a colonoscopy, a barium enema, and ultral sounds, blood work, the whole nine yards. (that I know of) my insuranse is sparatic, and another symptom that has gotten worse over time, are my emotions. the week before, and during, I get so depressed, that I can barely move. Which all makes me out to be crazy, yee haw. In the last year or so, Ive also started having what looks to me like vaginal discharge, rectally as well. I have no idea, and to be honest, after all this time, would be content in just being crazy, but my daughter is 8. I live in fear that this is genetic, and that she will have to live this crap too. My mom honestly is insane, you have no idea, she's been dying of some disease my whole life. Changes what it is every day. The reason I didnt know that rectal bleeding was unusual is because when I told her, she said thats what happens to her evey month. Im sorry, but she really is a liar, so I dont know if its true. Ok, so you know what I know. Can anyone help?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
