My boyfriend and I have this rash that we can't figure out for the life of us! First it started with me.. on my wrist.. it was just very dry n almost peeling with a couple small bumps. And it wouldn't go away. I'm allergic to nickel so I used the steroid cream I have for it on that and it went away for a couple days. But then I started getting it on my arm too. And then he got it on his wrist. Now we both have it pretty much everywhere. Some of it is kind of flat dry clusters of bumps, other places is just a single tiny bump that almost resembles a pimple and if you pop it there's clear fluid. But other places just itch with no bumps at all. One doctor has said it's an allergy but to what we don't know and can't figure out... we've changed everything from soaps to laundry soaps to.. anything you can think of! (we even suspected fleas but we've ruled that out now too... we do have 2 dogs and 2 cats) Another doctor said it's a type of eczema... but how do we both have it at the same time and neither of us have ever had it before? And nothing is working for this INTENSE CONSTANT itch!! We've tried everything from zyrtec to cortisone creams to Gold Bond medicated lotion and even prescription steroid creams. PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS GOT TO HELP US!!! Anyone??? Ask me questions... give me advice... Anything!! Just please HELP!!

Thank you,
Desperate For Answers

Is it possible we're allergic to each other??? only we have it and I have a 2 year old little girl so if it was contagious she'd have it.... and she doesn't (thank God!)

Have you talked to anyone about the possiblity of bed bugs???? Look up the creature and it's bites. Also i would speek to or see an alergist and have yourself scratch tested for what could be causing it.

Mine started in mid-January and hers a couple months later. I've been to my dermatologist 6 times and my alergist twice. I've had multiple biopsies done. Each inconclusive. I've been treated for scabies, which did nothing because it wasn't scabies. I've been put on prednisone and multiple creams. The prednisone made the rash go away, but once my pills were out, it came back. My dermatologist told me to go tanning for ten treatments because UV light should kill the bacteria causing it. We'll see how this works, but so far, there's been no change.
