Sorry for the double post. I couldn't edit the guest one.
Symptoms - Red rash about the same size on both sides of face around the sideburn area. Runs in front of lower part of ear all the way over to the back of the ear (both sides). I have a couple of Pimple looking bumps just above the hair line in the hair that haven't gone away in two years. The rash has been there for about a year. I do break out with bumps on face and so far the only thing that makes it go away is Cortizone. The rash on the side of the face will not go away.
I have been to the doctor and she thinks its Eczema but I'm not so sure I completely agree with her. She gave me a facial steriod for the breakout on my face which seems to do the trick for that but, again, the rash stays. It is dry and itchy. Cortizone helps the itch.
Once in a while I get a pain where the rash is like its affecting the nerve.
I also break out once in a while on the inner thigh where I sweat. Cortizone also seems to aleviate that for a few days.
I've also noticed in the last year or so that my skin has become very sensetive. Barely any pressure at all will result in a red spot that will last for a few minutes. I layed my head on a table once and about 5 minutes later, I raised up and looked in the mirror and noticed that the spots that had come in contact with the table were almost purple and it took about 10-15 minutes for them to disappear. The last person who cut my hair noticed and even said something. "Wow all I have to do is touch you and you turn red."
