Rash on body whenever I get sick

Since my 20's I have broken out in a rash anytime I get sick. It starts with a hives like rash on my stomach, neck and inner thighs and then is spreads outward looking almost like a sunburn. I have seen many people on this website with the same thing, but no one has gotten a diagnosis. I have had doctors tell me that it is an allergic reaction to antibodies, I've been told its an overactive immune system, yet no one can give me a name. I would love to be able to explain to people what it is or give a name to it. Can anyone help. Some key factors I am a female, age 46. I have seen many people mention that they had Mono as a child, so did I. I have also seen that people say it is a strep infection. I should also say that antibiotics make no difference in the occurrence to length of my rash. I have noticed as I get older that the rash leaves behind dry patches of skin, it never did that before. Any idea what this actually is?
