Since my 20's I have broken out in a rash anytime I get sick. It starts with a hives like rash on my stomach, neck and inner thighs and then is spreads outward looking almost like a sunburn. I have seen many people on this website with the same thing, but no one has gotten a diagnosis. I have had doctors tell me that it is an allergic reaction to antibodies, I've been told its an overactive immune system, yet no one can give me a name. I would love to be able to explain to people what it is or give a name to it. Can anyone help. Some key factors I am a female, age 46. I have seen many people mention that they had Mono as a child, so did I. I have also seen that people say it is a strep infection. I should also say that antibiotics make no difference in the occurrence to length of my rash. I have noticed as I get older that the rash leaves behind dry patches of skin, it never did that before. Any idea what this actually is?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
