In mid June I noticed small cluster of bumps in the crease of my elbow. It was the size of about a penny. It didn't really stand out, and I thought it would soon go away.
There was, and still are no other symptoms. It doesn't itch at all or bother me. Most of the time I forget its there.
Around the end of July I noticed that it wasn't going away. It was instead getting bigger. Now it has tripled in size.
Much like ring worm there is NOW a center area that seems unaffected/less infected. It didn't start out like this and took about a month for it to start doing this. There is no distinct ring, just a lot of little disorganized bumps that seem to fade away towards the center. Looking straight on at it, it is hard to see.
It doesn't look like any ring worm, I have ever had, and it doesn't look like any of the ring worm pictures I see online.
Also it is suppose to be very contagious. I live with my BF. He has touched up against quite a few times with his arm. (on purpose - long story) and he has nothing.
I went to the Doctor, he gave it a once over glance and said it is ringworm or some other kind of similar fungus. He prescribed lotrimin +1. Unfortunately I never put the prescription in. I have been using the over the counter lotrimin I bought from the pharmacy.
I got the specialized ringworm one and the normal... I have been using it twice a day.. and the bumps are still there.
So far, I have had this in total for at least 2 months. Any ideas?
