Dear doctors, I am desperately seeking some advice, my ribs have been raised on the right side for about 2 months now or longer, I have had back problems in the past im not sure if that has anything to do with it. Im not getting much sleep now either because my ribs are making it so uncomfortable, if I lay on one side for too long, it hurts and I wake up, my doctor said 'dont worry', but I am worried, it feels abonormal, it looks abnormal and its giving me a hard time, any suggestions to whats wrong or what I can do?

  • You may want to search your symptoms on Lymenet and see a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor. Click on "symptoms": http://www.canlyme.com/ When to Suspect Lyme: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/romarkaraoke/whento.htm Lymenet: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php Back, joint, and muscle pain are very common with Lyme, as is insomnia. The tests are unreliable, and false negatives are common. Many Lymies have coinfections to boot. I have Lyme, babesia, and several viruses myself. I also have microwave sickness, which I believe is part of the mix. My Lyme symptoms increase upon exposure to EMR. • Has the dr checked your liver enzymes? Have you had any xrays or a scan? Were you sick before you felt this swelling? • Your front ribs or your back ribs? Do you have scoliosis? Get a simple chest xray and make sure they mark the spot that is raised with a small marker. ..and also go to another doctor.
