Hi, whenever I over-exert myself doing sport or other things like that I get an unusually fast heartbeat and i get breathless so I have to stop what I am doing. If I rest it still doesn't stop until after about 7 or 8 minutes when it just suddenly goes back to normal with one beat. It seems very strange. Please help!!!

  • tachycardia needs to be checked with a stress test. Is thalium the way to go? See a cardiologist if you can.

Please help!!!I get the same thing you described, let say I'm playing basketball and I jump up for some reason sometimes my heart speed up really fast. It doesn't happen all the time but it does once in a while. So I stop what I am doing and sit down somewhere and hold my breath for a secound and 1 minute later my heart goes back to normal suddenly out of no where... its so weird. I went to the doctor and done all the tests and everything came back normal. It's very strange.

  • just googled and i got this site. Your not alone guys, me too. But sometimes its not always when i am doing a sport, sometimes ill just be walking and my heart will start racing aqward. And yes i found out that holding your breath does help make it go back to normal. I think also that if you put your head down it helps, get blood to your head or upper part of your body.
