I quit smoking 11 days ago after 32 years!:) I'm 47 years old. I caught another bad cold and said that's it! The cold is gone, but I feel absolutely AWFUL. :mad:I have sinus pain and burning, weakness- especially in my legs, tired all the time, achy, some coughing at night, stomacheaches, bloating and frequent urination, heavy chest, and a few other symptoms. I feel so much worse than before I quit smoking! I am NOT going to light up- just the smell of one makes me feel ill now. I have read that I may feel bad for a short time, but I don't really know how long to expect to feel this way. I wondered if I should have a checkup and see if there is anything my doctor can give me. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

  • I felt awful after I quit smoking. I had been a smoker for 25 years and it actually took about 6 months for me to feel good. You sound alot like me in the sense that just the smell of a cig makes you feel ill. I quit almost 3 years ago and I have tried to light one this summer and I got sick to my stomach. I would in any case have a check up. Your symptoms might not even have anything to do with the fact that you quit smoking... Kiera
