I have nearly all the symptoms of anemia (Easy fatigue, loss of energy, shortness of breath with exercise, pale-yellow skin, dizziness, weak memory...) for 10 years at least (I am 23). All my complete blood counts tests showed normal RBC and HGB levels and my B12, Iron, Folic Acid results are okey.

My main question is: It is possible to be anemic with normal hemoglobin, rbc levels?

Because if it is possible i am going to talk with my doctor to make some more tests, I have been seeing hematologist/rheumatologist for another illness (ankylosing spondylitis), but she is not very helpful.

I am also thalassemia beta trait carrier, it makes me think i am anemic also. I searched for what tests needed for anemia:

Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity
Serum iron level
Folic Acid
Vitamin B12
and hemoglobin electrophoresis (for sickle cell anemia)

Is there any other important test i missed?
