Hi, I am new here and have questions about intestinal bypass surgery I had in the late 70's. 20 years age I found out I was B12 lacking, and have been on injections once a month since. I had blood work last week and have to see my doctor tommorrw because there is a problem with my vitamin D now. I know I have had other problems since then and need to know if anyone out there has had problems too. I just want to know what to expect.

Chances are that you are lacking some vitamins and minerals. You must be diligent about taking at least two multivitamins and extras of others. I've done that for years and have had no real problems. I did develop a bad candida overgrowth however, but have just recently overcome it with a natural med I use. You most likely have yeast overgrowth as well. It comes with the territory; however, many docs won't test for it or even believe it, so you must diagnose it yourself and treat it. I feel so much better!
