Question concerning Coumadin/Warfarin

I recently had a DVT in my leg, it ended up traveling to my lung, and now I have been prescribed Coumadin (aka Warfarin).

I am regular pot smoker and I was wondering if there could be any adverse effects if I smoke while on the drug?

PS. I did ask my doctor, but he wouldn't give me a definitive answer, he more or less just gave me that 'all smoking is bad' lecture.

  • I pretty much forgone smoking for nine days, until I finally broke down and had a couple joints over the last couple days. I had a blood test done this morning, my INR wasn't anything out of the ordinary but I've yet to receive a definitive answer on the subject. Can anyone help me, please?
