I'm hoping someone may have the key for me here. I have episodic polyuria. It has a water like look too it. Completely clear.

I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis 6 years ago due to my bladder pain. This symptom developed around the same time.

It episodic as in sometimes it's every few days, sometimes every few weeks. Sometimes it occurs from coffee, tea, or alcohol consumption which makes sense due to their dietetic properties however sometimes it's for no reason at all.

My kidney function is in good condition with no abnormalities on an ultrasound. I do not have diabetes or a thyroid condition.

I was starting to wonder if it's possible to have a osmosis problem with in the bladder wall. My bladder was is weak due to my IC diagnosis so maybe fluid from my blood or body could diffuse through the cells of the bladder wall?

Any similar symptoms out there or any thought of what could be my problem?

  • I know this was posted two years ago but I am hoping you are still around. I am having the EXACT same symptoms. My kidneys, thyroid, and diabetes test were negative too. I also got test for lyme but am still waiting these results. This has been happening for month. BTW, I'm IC too. Did you ever get more information????
