Hello everybody, I write this post because I was diagnosed with pseudo cholinesterase deficiency after a complication regarding anesthetic drugs, in a surgical operation. I visited many doctors in Argentina, my country, but they failed to give me a list of substances and medications that i should avoid due to this condition. I hope that perhaps somebody here could give me the names of the drugs that he or she knows in order to build this list. Also, if somebody knew which nutritional deficiencies or other conditions that could cause this disease, it would be really helpfull for me read about them. The main thing however, would be to have that list of drugs to be avoided, since I'm really really scared that I could get exposed to them and suffer a terrible damage, or perhaps even death :(. Thank you very much to everybody, and good luck, ill e waiting for your answers

  • People who have this abnormality may be sensitive to certain anesthetic drugs, including the muscle relaxants succinylcholine and mivacurium as well as other ester local anesthetics (Maiorana & Roach, 2003). Copied this off a website. Hope it helps alittle.
