As a child and in my early teenage yrs, I used to have pretty normal, good sleeping pattern. I would wake up after nine hrs of sleep, feel refreshed (no staying in bed) and function normally. Im now in my early 20ties and desperately need to concentrate on my studies. However, I tend to feel tired very often. I sleep a way too much (usually minimum 9-10hrs). If i force myself to wake up say after 7-8 hours, I have breakfast, shower, and then sit down on my bed... I can't help it and fall asleep!!! and wake up two hours later. If I sleep little and am late and have to get dressed quickly and get on public trans, whole day is spoilt. only thing i can think about is when are my duties going to finish and im sooo tired. Besides all that, I suffer from migraines but in the morning I wake up with a different kind of headache and often with sorethroat.
I have a fairly healthy lifestyle, eat usually natural food and cook for myself. I do not eat meat, but I eat fish, free range eggs, dairy products, beans, lentils etc. Quite often I have hypoglycaemia and shaky hands (perhaps because I dont have chance to eat food i like when im outsidfe home and forget to take food with me). I walk a lot and if i have time, I do sports, hiking etc. Im fit, my weight is ok, not too high nor too low. like 62kg and 170cm. My twin (heterozyg.) has also sleep problems. Ive got to admit that both of us have some psychological issues, but I don't think its serious in my case and that it should be affecting my sleep. Ive been to doctors with my problems, and I was always told that my results (blood tests) are completely fine and i seem to be wonderfully healthy.
I would really appreciate if I got any answer and possible solution to my problems, because I am in my final year of uni and I want to achieve good results and first of all i want to function normally. im a young girl and i should have more energy than this :( i feel depressed and frustrated about not being able to do my duties. Thank you.
