hi if had a problem with my throat for over a year now. I've been to my doctor a whole bunch of times now and she can't figure out what i exactly have. They only thing she can do now is refer me to a specialist. Since i don't have a lot of money i figured i'd try this first before going to the specialist.

symptoms are...

+ trouble swallowing (feels like there's something in the back of my throat almost like a 'lump' which scares me quit a bit)
+ dry/stuffy noose
+ i used to cough up yellowish little bits which is post nasal drip according to the doctor and this comes with a bad odor :/
+ soar/red throat
+ when i take a deep breath in it feels kinda weird... like my lungs aren't used to getting 'so big'.
+ bad

the doctor now says that it's an allergic reaction to something.. cause it's been going on for a year now... She's had me gargle with salt water.. given me noose spray.. sudafed... and now i'm taking these pills once a day called singulair... these seem to take away that 'lump' that i feel in the back of my throat a little.. but i've only been using it for 3 days...

Please help me? I'm scared out of my mind that i have throat cancer or something horrible... ? :-S I know the symptoms don't seem to say that i would.. but still... i just want to get rid of this problem.. it's getting pretty boring after a year... ! :/

Hope anyone has any ideas/tips/ experiences?! :)
Thnx <33

  • I have had basically the same problem for the last couple years. I have been checked for asthma and acid reflux, nothing. My ENT recommended that I avoid eating late at night, caffeine, pop, chocolate, tomatoes, etc. No real change. Some days are worse than others though, still have no idea why. I have basically given up on trying to find out. I have been to 2 internists and 3 specialists and no one can give me any answers. Could you please post again if you find anything out. Thanks.
