Firstly, my username has nothing to do with my symptom- it's my username for everything and it's easy to remember! :)
Ok. I'm 20yrs old and I'm not sexually active. Keep that in mind.
Almost 2yrs ago I found myself a victim of vaginal thrush. I went to the doctor, got some treatment, off I went. BUT, it never went away. I had this constant swelling at the opening of my vagina, which I always thought was a symptom of thrush. After about 18 months of going to the doctor, getting swabs, being told there was nothing wrong with me, that I'm not old enough or experienced enough to know if something was wrong with me (even though the swabs constantly kept coming back as positive for thrush), my doctor did a swab that came back negative. But the swelling was still there. She told me it was an allergic reaction- I've changed my soap and toilet paper several times and only wear cotton undies. She sent me to a gynaecologist anyway, who told me NOTHING and that there wasn't a swelling, leading me to the conclusion that I wouldn't trust him with a dead toad. I mean, this swelling is so obvious to me! How could a professional not notice?!
I've searched the internet but the only conditions with vaginal swelling also have symptoms like pain and discharge, which I don't have. I just have a swelling.
TRUST ME! It is there! It's what made me notice I had thrush the very first time and it gets bigger and smaller and I can feel it! It's ***n annoying!

  • I would see an allergist. You may have a form of angioedema.
