My 21 month old was in the hospital in February for dehydration brought on by 5 days of vomiting and diarrhea. Found out that her AST liver enzyme was high then. We've tested several more times and it was going down, but now after 2 months it's going back up. It is between 3 and 10 times normal. She had incidents with vomiting and diarrhea in October,January, February and March. I don't know if they're related to a liver problem or not. My husband and I both have had 2 children in our families have liver cancers. One died at 26 months old and the other had a liver transplant at age 3. (Not our own kids). Now she has been complaining for over a month of pain when I bend her legs up to change her diaper. Started a fever last week and the pain seemed to move from front down low, to backside now. But also still in the front, too. We had an ultrasound done this week that showed something in the bottom of her bladder...they said it could be debris or a soft tissue mass. Something more to confuse me!!! We are going to Columbus children's hospital next week, but I wanted to get a jump on what to ask by seeing if anyone had any ideas???? Appetite isn't great and she's tired a lot lately. Fever went away though!:confused:Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
