Hello, I was a generally healthy 24 year old. I lived in West Africa for a year, I've traveled to Ghana, Benin and Togo. I have been home for two years now working full time, and drinking regularly, and smoking both tobacco and pot.
Recently I was troubled by pain In my upper left chest close to my shoulder, and pain under my rib cage. I went to see a Dr. of internal medicine, who gave me a full blood work up and a blood smear for malaria. All was fine. So I went to a Infectious disease DR. and got a stool workup for parasites all negative. A month later I became quite ill. Intermittent diarrhea, heart palpitations, and headache. Smoking pot made my heart feel worse so I stopped smoking pot and drinking. I'm totally lethargic my entire chest feels tight, sore throat, tingling "pins and needles" in my extremities, bad head ache, and a normal body temperature.
So, now I have had my GP do several EKG s all normal and I'm getting a workup for mt thyroid. And next week I'm getting an echo cardiogram.

I don't think there is anything wrong with my heart, but I just don't know what could be wrong I'm starting to freak, fearing death.
