I have a rash that developed after I went to the beach on my inner thighs right around the genital area. It has spread onto my scrotum but doesn't seem to affect my penis.
The rash developed after walking on the beach for a long time wearing wet swimming trunks that had sand/salt causing uncomfortable rubbing in that area.
However, it won't go away. I've tried different skin shampoos and brands of hydrocortizone cream, but non have proven effective.
I got the rash the end of June, and I still have it. It itches sometimes, but not often.
I don't have health care, so seeing a doctor isn't possible.
I had this last year after going to the beach too, but after a few weeks of hydrocortizone treatment, it went away. It looks identical, which is why I think it is the same thing.
Could it have maybe developed into a fungal rash? I've been doing lots of research but can't really get any good answers.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
