My mother informed us today in tears of a spot on her hand. She said that a few weeks ago (2 or 3 she's not sure) while working on the garden out in the backyard, she was bitten by something but was unable to see what it was. She spot is right under her ring finger. She said that it used to have a bit of pus but she messed with it a bit, and now it just looks like a spot of dried white skin with the top layer removed. Only just a few days ago she started feeling pain, but today it was more intense which is why she told us. We took her to the ER and after 3 hours of waiting they let her go without doing anything to her. She works packaging rat poison, so they just told her that it could've been caused by a chemical, but she says that she feels something moving around occassionally in her hand. And upon close inspection, her pinky would move a bit involuntarily. Also, there appeared to be a dark spot on the tip of the pinky from time to time, but it would just go away. For a few days her hand would occassionally feel cold, and would sometimes go numb. Now i'm thinking it's a parasite, and we are going to make an appointment with a clinic, but it's going to have to be until monday, maybe even tuesday, so i wanted to ask here for people's opinions.
