My husband was diagnosed w/ Pneumoccocci about a 3 yrs ago and has been taking Fluconazole 600mg daily. At first it started as a regular cold w/ very high fever. Once doctor's took x-rays they were able to determine that it was Pneumoccocci. Per my understanding this is a fungus that grows on dirt but when inhailed enters the body and sticks to the lungs and very difficult to treat w/ medication. I'm now worried that my husband's condition is not getting any better since he has had a rash on his body, severe night sweats and has had blood sputum on three occasions. At this point I'm desperate to find out if anyone knows about any other treatments for this desease.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
