Hi Doc,

1)I sometimes get pain in my left arm and I wonder if it has something to do with my heart. My BP is on the lower side. Do you think I could be getting a heart attack?

2)Sometimes, when I eat food, I get a quezy feeling and when I puke, I get transparent salty mucus like liquid from my stomatch. What is wrong with me?

  • Okay, please realize that an internet forum is incapable of providing any type of accurate diagnostic evaluation of your symptoms. Forums are useful in gaining support and to discuss medical issues that have been previously evaluated by your primary care physician or specialist. While referred pain to the left arm is but one symptom of a heart attack, there are many medical conditions which would also explain the discomfort you are experiencing. The vomiting of chyme, mucoid-like secretions or other substance in the absence of known cause should always be evaluated by your doctor. It is equally important to discern why you are vomiting as much as it relates to what you are vomiting. Best regards, J Cottle, MD
