For the last 3 days I have had bad cramping, feelings like my intestines are being twisted around. I have had a colonoscopy and everything seemed fine. I was told I have IBS w/constipation.
I dont think its my appendix, i have pain around the belly button area, but its not stabbing pain. Sometimes I get a pain in my upper abdomen as well. I dont know what it could be, its really freakin me out. I take GlycoLax every morning, but that has helped me in the past. I do have bowl movements now, just small amounts. sometimes feels like i have been doing sit ups and I haven't been. so I dont know I'm confused.

  • My appendicitis started with pain behind the navel. I could almost pinch it! I never even thought of my appendix. Get thee to another dr. for lab work and a CT if you have insurance.

  • ok, They did take blood work but it was good. there is pain around my belly button at times, but its mostly the feeling of squeezing around my upper abdomen, where my stomach is. like my muscles are not relaxed almost. They said if I had appendicitis, there would be sometimes a high pitch sound when they listen to my belly, or the hurt would feel different. if It keeps up I will go back tomorrow.

  • my son had some of these symptoms, and was told continually that he did not have apendicitis though I kept telling em he did. (they don't like to be told, buy hey, it was my son and they were um..... idiots- no offense) He ate full meals and was told that if it were apendicitis he would not eat. they told me that for 4 days in a row- every time I took him to the emergency room- until it burst. keep pushing for a diagnosis- your the only one who puts yourself at the top of the priority list.

  • Well,I went to the ER tonight again, and they said that the CT scan was ok. My appendix, pancreas, everything looked ok. I am still having stomach muscles tense up, I dont know why. Is there anything else they can do to check for appendicitis? and how will I know if it bursts? Will I at least know something? Maybe vommiting or pain?

Maybe vommiting or pain?Ohhh Apendicitis- you will be in so much pain- don't worry- if that happens you will know it. You will vomit and you won't contain the pain.If they say that you are okay but no one can help you- I would strongly recommend you to try NAET at NAET.COM.I am for real, I was going to the ER, every once in a while feeling like something was very wrong. Doctors asked me if I was a mental patient or if I was on drugs. They also thought I wanted to avoid school and that I was a teary eye woman. I read the book "Never Be Sick Again" and following the advice, I recovered from my stomach symptoms by 50 %- but I knew something else was wrong. The NAET doctor diagnose me with allergies to essential nutrients like Calcium and Vitamin B complex- She treated me, and after 2 months of treatment I can eat pizza, icecream, even fast food. I don't eat it as much- but I know I won't get sick if I do it. I am now more into raw and organics but I can eat anything- never a tummy ache. I don't take drugs of any class.I am healthy , happy- and just trying to further my career and my financial status- NAET helped me to improve my quality of life.Best,Fruity.Also check for mold, carbon monoxide, aspartame, msg, and all sort of toxic crap in the air and the food as they are undetectable by ER personel.

But if you don't need to go, and you want to do something for yourself a spot treatment for that would be for you take *drink water- (how much water do you drink?)* take a mineral supplement- something with potassium for the heart and magnesium for muscle relaxant.*drink some linden or cammomile tea for relaxation.*rub your muscles with basil, lavender or some other diluted essential oil for relaxation.*if you can take a warm bath with relaxing oils do it.*try doing just relaxation/meditation for a while. Put one hand on your chest, and one hand on your tummy - close your eyes, breathe gently but feel the air moving towards or those distressed areas of your body. Connect to your spiritual side.*Avoid caffeine and processed food, including bread and puffed cereal.Best,Fruity.

  • Thank you. I will try to take a bath , I dont know how much that would help. I know last thursday and a couple days before, I did sit ups, and leg lifts,, maybe I strained something, cuz it is not loosening for the life of me. If they found Nothing on the CT scan that is good right? I shouldn't worry to much, although i have pure ocd, which makes everything alot worse. just feels like I did 300 situps, or sometimes feels like someone punched me in the stomach. I dont know. I will go see my doctor tomorrow. I need to make an appointment with my GI doctor. Another reason could be tight, cuz the last 2 days I have strained from trying to go to the bathroom. I dont know. When the doctor pushed on my stomach last night it hurt, so maybe it is the muscles around that area.

  • Hmmm-so sorry honey- it sounds like you have a toxic overload- you might be allergic to something you consume. You have valid reasons to feel the way you feel. Always validate yourself, listen to your body. Visit a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, they might be able to treat you and perhaps give you an explanation.I wish you find relief soon.

  • I don't think so- but Again, I am not a doctor. I know my bf suffers sometimes with bad muscle pulling in his abs but he improved by changing his diet and increasing mineral intake. He actually went to his regular doctor- he asked him to increase his magnesium and potassium.I had bad muscle spasms in my esophagus, it was freaky and the ER people did not care to help me. I did some good detox by avoiding sugar, processed food, flour, caffeine, etc- and I added extra nutrients- more minerals. So I was better before I even met my alternative doctor.

  • Hi, there. You shouldn't take a laxative because it can make you sick instead of helping. To help your bowl movement right now in a emergency situation, try supositoris and do a drastic diet: buy only organic vegetables and fruits, wash well and juice everything instead of eating them because you need fluids and nutrients right now. Also drink 8 to 10 oz. water daily, try this: in a bottle of drinking or distiled water add a pinch of baking soda or a little bit of lemon juice (no sugar) this will alkalinize the water and help your Body Ph get more balanced. It is very important for our Body PH acidic/alkaline to stay a little bit alkaline than acidic because when we are acidic we get sick easily. Acidic PH is a good environment for any sickness. To learn more about Body PH look the folowing sites:http://mysite.verizon.net/felipe2/id12.htmlhttp://energiseforlife.com http://happyherbalist.comI read somewhere that "what you don't know can hurt you" and I have to agree because when I didn't know about body PH I was doing a lot of mistakes and someone helped me.After you getting better, stop eating only cooked food, specially fst or processed food. Change your diet for a more natural one, buying only organic and if you want eat cooked food, cook yourself it is safer and you will see how well you will feel. Once in a while you can eat out, but don't make this a daily habit or your body will pay the price. I hope you get better soon. May God bless you!

  • I have IBS and though it feels like something is seriously physically wrong with me sometimes...its caused by stress. I was prescribed xanax to calm myself down when my IBS kicks in. Trust me I understand the pain...thought I was dying more then a few times. See if there is something going on in your life that is causing you stress. Im a Masters level psychologist and I see people all the time who stress themselves out to the point of physical pain. Consider talking to a therapist. Good luck!
