  • Hi.. i have blood pressure which goes up and down too. Mine goes up to 176/138 right now to having actual very low BP where my bottom reading gets down to 52. (so i could never be treated for high BP). What causes this (well at least in my case, i dont know other causes for it) is issues with the BP regulation system in the body that being an issue with the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system doesnt just regulate BP but also affects things like heart rate and controls many other things in body too. So with ANS issue you may get more than just heart rate and BP going wrong. I dont know how swelling could relate to it but it regulates so many different things in the body maybe it controls something which has been affected to cause your swelling? Also the ANS dysfunction you seem to have with the BP may be a secondary problem to something else.. eg the ANS issue may of been caused by another issue eg damage by an infection, virus, drugs etc.. which could of caused also the swelling. best luck in your specialists working it out. (Ive had no luck with specialists sorting out my BP dysregulation as no one seems to know much about ANS dysfunctions!!! So you may have a hard time finding a solution or answers). I suggest for you to research autonomic nervous system.
