I know this might sound crazy but a good friend of mine has been sick off and on for almost 2 years and they keep telling her she is not sick, when in fact everyone knows she would not be saying she is in pain if she isnt. Long story short. Her husband left her after being together for awhile. He now tells her he could not stand her for the last two years. That is how long shes been sick, weird thing is she is no longer sick after he left. She was never really away from him any and now she is feeling better after hes been gone and its only been alittle over a week!

Shes had trouble with eatting for the last 2yrs, shes had trouble walking and moving, There has been days when she could not walk from her car inside a store. I could go on and on but my question is...

How do we find out if hes tried to kill her? Not sure with what but she said a few things stick out in her mind like some bug spray she knows they never used alot of was now empty, bathroom cleaner that stayed out in the bathroom all the time.

I have took her to the doctor they ordered some blood work but how long would this show in her system? Ifs hes already been gone for almost 2 weeks how long do you believe it will stay? If these test come back okay, what else can she do to look for this?

I know I have seen them test on TV for hair and nails but who does that? She doesnt want to contact the law or anything on him. So who can she just go to and find out ? Maybe we are right maybe we have just thought about it to much.

Just scares me to see how much better she is doing now. Its not right

  • Yes, I know a couple when they broke up, the wife made his favorite pot of chili...and used some unusual spices, such as her weed poison or something. It was only after he got out of the hospital that friends were sitting around and I said, "Sounds like she poisoned you." He got tested for poisoning that week, but the doctors said that too much time had gone by(6 weeks or a month after the fact)..yes, there are tests for a garden variety of poisons that the doctor can run, and yes, people do things like that. She should have her answer soon. Hard to buy straight arsenic, so could be another poison. There is homeopathic arsenic and the "clorox bath"--1 cup of plain clorox in tub of very hot water, stay in tub until water cools--that pulls a lot of poisons out...but if she gets a rash afterwards, that means that the poison is coming out and she can rub some olive oil on to calm it down.

  • Independent labs can test for toxins and poisons using hair etc. Look up labs in the yellow pages, medical testing labs should be able to test for arsenic and pesticides. Might cost some, but worth it. THEN call the police. Why would you not want to?

  • But it would have to be a respectable lab to present evidence for the police. It would have to be a blood analysis.

  • There was a good story on "mystery diagnosis" on Discovery Health (I think) all about arsenic poisoning. I think you can go to Disc's website, look up mystery diag then click on "favorite programs" Type in arsenic. Sometimes people get arsenic poisoning by working with treated lumber. (building a deck). The police can help you with lab evidence and give you the proper way to ensure the legality of the collection and processing. In the "mystery: program, the police helped to rule out people and to set-up the perp. p.s. it was the wife who done it!

  • I work for a medical lab in Utah, we send specimens to a lab called National Medical Services. They perform all sorts of toxicology testing inculding arsenic. One thing to note is that if she ever wants to file this as a leagal matter, the specimen must be collected and a chain of custody must be attached to the specimen to insure there was no tampering of the specimen along the way from her doctors office and the performing lab. That way the results will hold up in court. To go back that far it will most likely have to be done using hair, it will be an expensive test and will have to be done forensic but you cant put a price on someone lossing 2 years of their life. Please tell us what happens, that poor girl. Feel free to ask me any other lab related questions. ~Stacky

  • Hello, I work for a medical lab in Utah. We send specimens to a lab called National Medical Services for our toxocology tests. They perform all sorts of tox tests including arsenic. The specimen submitted would most likely need to be hair as it may already be out of her blood stream and they can track how far back this has been happening. They do have a website you can look at also. For this to hold up in court it would need to be submitted by a doctor using a chain of custody to insure the specimen is not tampered with while in transit. The test would most likely be costly but you can not put a price on someones life, especially when 2 years has been lost. Please let me know if you have any other lab related questions... Hope it all works out and she continues to feel better! Stacky

  • Okay she got her blood work back but her doctor is not getting her in to see him for a few more days, I do not understand why they will not take this more serious!if your Arsenic-Ur is 9.8 and normal is 0.0-50.0you would be in a normal range but what would that mean? Could it mean she waited to long for the testing? I seen on one page about the blood only working for a few days and urine for 48 hours. So if she was over a period of time gave something to harm her would this small trace be showing it?Also i remember seeing that show on discovery health but can not find the show on the site. Thanks for all the help
