I have had symptoms in my mouth for over a year. Please help. I had taken a course of antibiotics, consumed alcohol and had oral sex and have had white patches in mouth. Reacts to foods like sugar, bread alcohol..can not get a diagnosis..please help..what causes oral thrush? Can symptoms remain for so long?

I got it from my asthma inhaler. I used Daktarin Oral Gel and it cleared it all up. Give it a try.

As one of my friend has the same problem and he tried a herbal product called "candidate" and it did prove very useful.

  • your doctor can culture it and then prescribe an anti-fungual..there are also natural products on the market..you would need to change your diet for a while and eliminate yeast foods, which you could check into online.

  • your doctor can do some lab work on that and prescribe and anti-fungal, not an antibiotic. You need to watch your diet and eliminate yeast producing food. Do an internet search.
