Please help us. My 7 year old daughter has been hospitalized numerous times since 2001 for chronic pneumonias and sinusitis. She is testing negative genetically for cystic fibrosis and her ciliary biopsy was negative for primary ciliary diskenesia. She is being treated as a CF patient with chest physiotherapy twice a day as well as nebulized treatments and maintenance antibiotics. She is not improving and continues to be hospitalized for pneumonias. She had a bronchoscopy that was negative and her sputum grew nothing significant. She has had a swallow study which was also negative. She has been treated over the years as an aggressive asthmatic with no success. She does not wheeze, she always crackles. She has had an allergy and immunology workup which were both negative. Does anyone have any suggestions? She is continuing to get sick more often and we are in a state of panic because after 6 years we still have no diagnosis and have seen several doctors that are leaders in their field. Please help and thank you so much!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
