:mad:dry mouth (sporadic, but severe), and at times, burning mouth (tongue, including eyes, ears and nose), and severe itching all over my body (almost like being stuck with pins - perhaps someone has a voodoo doll of me???). Also, for 2 days, i had these really sharp electrical shocks on the left side of my brain - extremely painful and lasted like 2-5 seconds, every 10 minutes or so. then the left side of my head like tightened-up and got very cold.
I was wrongfully diagnosed with sinus infectin, then yeast infection, then vitamin deficiency, and GERD. The GERD i would believe, although i lack any chest discomfort, and the whole ear and itching skin thing doesn't make sense.
The symptoms seem to excahnge for each other. First, for weeks, i had a very strong, metallic taste that never went away and was so severe i couldn't focus on anything but (food was impossible). Then it was as if all the saliva in my mouth was sucked out, only to follow with every orface on my face burning as if i had touched a very hot pepper and touched all over. THen the itching begain - head to toe - horrible. And finally, tinnitus set in, and there's no relief. It'll even wake me in the middle of the night. It's like a hissing with a high pitch squeal on top - or like air being released out of a tire. No break though, and sounds (any sounds) seem to make it worse.
I've been given tons of meds over the last 2 months - all to treat wrong diagnosis. the meds i take daily (and have for years) are for pain mgmt (methadone and fentanyl patch), but never had any problems before. The only related sypmtoms they could cause is itching and dry-mouth, but all docs (and i've seen a lot) and pharmacists say that i wouldn't develop after years of being on them.
I'm getting an MRI/MRA tomorrow, but they can't find anything wrong. All tests (and there have been A LOT) have come out good. Freaking on what the MRI will say, but docs are saying anxiety? I just don't believe anxiety can cause this.
I'm looking for ANYONE who's experienced this. I feel extremely alone here, and i can't google anything that has all these sypmtoms (which is why the docs are perplexed). I feel like the docs, because they don't know, are defaultin to anxiety to brush things off. but since when did anxiety cause SEVERE metallic taste and tinnitus with NO RELIEF at all?
