Please help me. I am 20 years old and have dealt with the following issues for 2 years with increased intensity as time has passed. I have frequent urination with urinary retention that seems to get worse at night but by morning of the next afternoon I am able to relieve myself to where the pressure is decreased in my abdomen. I have chronic hematuria (blood in urine) with severe flank pain more so on theleft side when urinating and throughout the day. I had a kidney biopsy a year ago and it was negative. No UTI's- ever! constantly tested for them. I do have endoemtriosis. Is there anyone that can help me!?!? I can't stand this anymore. I am in pain all day every day... i can't urinate when i want to and no one can seem to help me. ANY ANSWERS OF ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! thank you:(

  • Have you had an IVP xray? Was it a CT guided biopsy? Did the DT show anything? What does your urologist say about the bladder?

  • Hey, just a few questions about your history:What do you mean by "morning of the next afternoon" ?How often do you urinate in a week? How many mL per urination? How many mL of urine per day? BY hematuria do you mean blood tinged or tea-colored urine?HOw did you get diagnosed of endometriosis and where is it growing?Have you had a urinalysis?Family History of similar symptoms? What did the nephrologist say?I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot. I just need a clearer picture.

  • Ok first all day I could urinate 10-30ml's at a time a few times during the day. The at night not be able to urinate at all maybe i couple drops then my the next morning or afternoon I will urinate a couple hundred ml's of urine. This is usually the way my day goes. If I am lucky I will urinate and I will have mild discomfort rather than the usual pain the strikes from my left kidney and my lower back down to my bladder and urethra as well as the pressure in the abdomen and urtehra. when i say hematuria i mean blood tinged, urine is sometimes dark but not the symptomatic kind you find in renal failure pts. I have diagnosed with endo by a diag. lap. (surgery) and it has been found on my ovaries, uterus, bowel, pretty much everywhere. I have had a U/A and that came back and always comes back negative for infection positive for blood. No family Hx of endo and U/O problems. My nephrologist is a difficult story to tell... first he told me i had thin basement membrane DX and then he said i didn't 3 months later... then 4 months after that he said i had TBM dx then said i didn't.... so i gave up on him and here i am... without answers... whatcha think?

  • Please consider trying acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to help you with your kidney/urinary problems. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can be extremely effective for GenitoUrinary disorders, as well as endometriosis. You would need to find a practitioner who specializes in women's disorders and Chinese Herbs. Look for someone who is NCCAOM certified in Chinese herbology. Visit www.nccaom.org or www.acufinder.com to find a practitioner near you. Acup. and OM has been used for thousands of years. It works! Please look into this form of medicine, canot recommend this highly enough. Best wishesDOM

  • yes i will look into that thank you!! however it doesn't ease my concern that there may be something physiologically wrong with my kidney or urinary system and that concerns me. I am sure it cannot be good to continuously have difficulty passing urine and if my kidney are effected further damage could occur and my fear is that the damage would be irreversible.

  • I strongly believe in complimentary medicine. So when I offer advice to try acupuncture, it is in addition to all the allopathic testing and treatments you are getting. I understand your concern, and there certainly IS a physiological problem with your genitourinary tract. I am just saying there are many paths to healing, and Traditional Chinese Medicine may really make a difference. I have treated repeated UTI's, incontinence, Kidney stones, and many other issues in my clinic. And I always advocate working with a patients allopathic doc. Most of my patients are amazed at how quickly their symptoms improve. Best wishesDOM
