My husband has suffered for 2 years now from a strange disease thats taken hold of him. We have been to numerous specialists and told it must be "a rare disease of some sort" and told they cannot help us. He has had numerous MRI's, CT scans, nerve conduction tests, etc. His symptoms are that the left side of his body is very very weak. He was in a wheelchair for a while but now can walk with a cane. He says it feels like extreme restlessness and also a burning down the back of his legs and back on the left side. His neck is in constant pain. They found a herniated disk in his neck but it was so mild that they are saying its probably unrelated. I am not sure what to do, and my husband has given up. All he does is lay in bed and never goes outside now. Please help...give me some direction.. anything. The last thing i heard is they think its "in his brain" (not in his head- figure of speech), and that whatever is wrong in his brain is telling his body that it is weak, burning, whatever, and it is not. I have been told so many diff things that im not sure what to do..how to start again. I'm in mourning for a husband that is so far gone it is like he has died. Please help me.
