I came down with diarrhea 2 days before christmas and it is getting worse. At the present I have given up solid foods and am trying to keep down Ensure. I have had nurmerous test done and they come back negative. I can drink a good mouthful of anything and have to run straight to the toliet. This has left me in a depression since I live with the thought of how fast can I get to the toliet. I wake up early with having to go and will go at least 6 times within a 2 hour stretch. I am so weak and have lost 50 plus pounds. I was put on 6 welchor pills a day and it don't work. Any suggestions I would be so thankful for. My diarrhea is all watery now. I have no energy whatsoever.

  • Have you seen a doctor? While I'm not fond of physicians and their medicines, I find that testing is invaluable. If you haven't already had one, you need to have your stool analyzed. The first thing that comes to mind is that you might have parasites, so you'll want to eliminate that as a cause by getting tested. If you do have parasites, my suggestion would be to first try some supplements that help eliminate them such as Paradex (which I've used). It is always my first choice to reach for herbs over pharmaceuticals, as they are less destructive to health and can often do the job.Drinking Ensure is probably the worst thing you could do for yourself. It is absolutely LOADED with genetically modified ingredients (GMOs). If you do not understand what GMO's do, you need to educate yourself, and fast. One of the things they do is cause gastrointestinal distress as well as severe allergic reactions, enlarged organs, promote cancer, cause inflammation, infertility, damage red blood cells and oxygen transport in the body, damage the ileum (which works to absorb vitamin B's), as well as a host of other health problems. The fast-track way to learn about genetically modified food is just to rent Jeffrey Smith's movie called "Genetic Roulette-the movie." Here is a list of ingredients in the original formula:contains water, sugar, corn syrup, (GMO) corn maltdextrin, (GMO) milk protein concentrate, soy oil, (GMO) soy protein concentrate, (GMO) short-chain fructooligosaccarides, cocoa powder, canola oil (GMO) and less than 0.5 percent of corn oil, (GMO) potassium citrate, magnesium phosphate, calcium phosphate, magnesium chloride, soy lecithin, (GMO) sodium citrate, salt, carrageenan, choline chloride, ascorbic acid, natural and artificial flavor, dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, ferric orthophosphate, zinc sulfate, potassium chloride, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, cupric sulfate, vitamin A pamitate, thiamine chloride hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, folic acid, chromium chloride, biotin, sodium mybdate, sodium selenate, cyanocobalamin, phylloquinone and vitamin D3.http://www.livestrong.com/article/31893-ensure-supplement-drink-ingredient-listIf you want to know the names of ingredients that have hidden GMO's in them you can go to this link. At the very bottom of the page is a chart of a downloadable PDF. http://morgellonsdiseaseawareness.com/diet_and_ph_plus_ph_chartI would go to the health food store and speak with someone knowledgeable and replace the Ensure with a high protein drink that has essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Make sure it does not have anything genetically modified in it. This means nothing with corn or soy unless the product says it is organic, and even then I would not take it, because now soy and corn have become major allergens. I'd also take Spirulina pills which is a superfood and is high in protein as well as vitamins. The next thing that I would look at is gluten intolerance which can cause diarrhea. 20 years back, I had a problem with chronic diarrhea and was able to regain my health by finding a good Chinese acupuncturist/herbalist. It took a while to totally eliminate the problem, but the herbs he gave me did the trick. After that though, I always tended towards loose stool. It was only in the last three years when faced with another serious health issue in which I took specialized testing that is used in functional medicine, did I discover that my body was not able to process carbohydrates properly. I stopped all bread, pasta, even grains and my stool became normal.Best of luckā€¦
