So my story began in October when I was diagnosed with bronchitis, I was but on Zithromax. Overall a majority of my symptoms went away I felt a bit better but since then have coughed up green sputum every morning and sometimes during the day. In December my doctor sent me to an ENT who put me on Levaquin and when that didn't work he told me my problems must be caused my acid reflux and put me on Nexium (I have since asked many health professionals who think he is full of ***t, I have not returned to him). About two weeks ago my symptoms started to get worse, I had a sore throat, problems breathing, headaches, pressure, fatigue and pain all over. I had a chest x-ray and sinus x-ray done which were both fine. The doctor put me on Avelox and a steriod Methylprednisolone. A week later after finishing those I was still no better. My doctor ordered a catscan of my sinuses which showed infection, deviated septum, and a small polyp. My doctor assured me that she did not believe any of these were major problems. So she sent me to an allergist. The allergist did a breathing test which showed I had no signs of asthma. He did two skin tests for airborne allergies and one skin test for food allergies. He found I was allergic to dust mites and mold. He has since told me to take Singulair and gave me a nasal spray to try. He believes that my constant exposure to these allergies has produced a viral infection. He also did a blood test which showed no abnormalities and I am waiting on the results of the sputum culture. I just have no relief from these symptoms. I am at my wits end and no one seems to have an answer. IF anyone has some advice please tell me!! Thank you!
