Iam writing this about my aunt who is 53. She had a mastectomy 5 yrs. ago for breast ca. Her doctor has told her she has been cancer free for the past three yrs. For the past two months, she has not been eating alot and vomitting. I just ate lunch with her yesterday and she only ate three bites and said she was full. She is now living with my parents because she has become weak and falls alot. She has been disabled since she was an infant from spinal meningitis. Her walking has gotten much worse. She seems to be short of breath from just walking slowly with her walker. This is very new. She has never smoked or abused any etoh/drugs. Her last bone scan was negative. Of couse, we have an appointment with her doctor but that is a month away. She has really lost alot of weight and sometimes has ?heartburn/reflux/indijestion. I am really worried this could be liver or stomach cancer. Any advise? virginiaslims33@aol.com

  • Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm not a doctor or anything just a CPT and a person who reads alot. Since she is having trouble breathing could it be asthma or possibly pleurisy? I know you're thinking cancer but it could just be something less serious like that. I would ask the dr to do an xray (I don't have your original post handy so you may have already done that). Or maybe an MRI? Please post and let me know what you're results are. Best of luck to you both and I will say prayers for a speedy recovery...........
