Hi, i'm 29 male and usually in good health. About six months ago i had frequent urination. Found out I had puss in my urine. They gave antibiotics and diagnosed it as a bladder infection. The puss went away but I started getting a lot of pain, burning and frequent urination in my my bladder/prostate area. I went to my doctor and was told it could be prostatitis and was given more antibiotics but still no change. Had an appointment with a urologist and he checked my prostate and said it seemed fine, no swelling. Had a cystoscopy done and he said my prostate was fine but he noticed a little bit of blood on my bladder wall but nothing serious. The pain did eventually go away for a bit but after about 4 months came back, not quit as bad but still quit unbareable. I'm so depressed and my life is a mess because of this. Is there anyone who has ever had anything like this or been cured of it, please let me know, I'm desperate. Thankyou.

  • Sounds like maybe you just had the wrong antibiotic to knock it out completely. Bladder infections can be tough. But, why not take a page out of the women's book? Bladder infections for them are common as grass.Get yourself a couple of bottles of cranberry juice and have some every day.It changes the Ph of urine, and some infections aren't happy about that. Might work.

  • and who knows, for sureyou may not have been prescribed the right antibiotic for your body and symptoms and maybe you weren't on the antibiotic long enough to heal.what you can do is not depend solely on your doctors, who are well intentioned but often not the Superman we assume they areresearch online your symptoms in an exhaustive manner until you find informationhit the health food store and find help there tooI suffered for 13 years with prostatitis and it was horrible, and I mean horrible. I too was often depressed because I didn't know what caused it or how to prevent or heal it.Check this out, it's very helpful as it discusses a lot of things not talked about in doctor's officeshttp://www.prostatitistruth.blogspot.comHope you start to feel better soon

  • Think you need an STD check and a longer term of antibiotics. Have them run a lab test on your urine to match the antibiotic with the organism.
