I am beyond desperate. My mother is 63 yrs old. She does not smoke or drink. The past 2 yrs she started showing symptoms of what we thougt/think may be a latex allergy. According to all the literature I can find, she suffers from latex allergy - but she has tested negative on 2 blood tests. No one seems to be able to clarify this mystery. She has nausea, abdominal cramps, itching on her hands, diarrhea, sneezing, red eyes, irritated eyes, blurred vision, constant runny nose, she had an anaphylaxis last year just after she had an operation, she cannot wear latex gloves, her hands then itches like crazy. Is there any other allergy that can cause almost the same symptoms as a latex allergy????? She has no skin rash and no hives.
Please, can anyone point me in the right direction??
