I suffer from photophobia or in other words cannot stand day or strong light without using strong polarised sunglasses. I have had this ever since I was diagnosed as suffering from macular degenation in my right eye three years ago. This was arrested with laser treatment. My left eye is OK except that I am afflicted by photophobia in both eyes. My eye specialist and surgeon can see no physical reason for this problem and says my left eye retina is in good condition. Any ideas?

I should had a cataract removed from left eye recently but this hasn't improved the problem.

  • :-) Hello. Just want to let everyone know my friends grandson was apparently cured of severe photophobia by a chiropractor. Previous to seeing the chiropractor he had undergone several years of tests and seen several doctors and specialists and could not go outside). Just thought you should know. S
