I have always had regular periods, like clockwork. Every four weeks, almost to the day, I would start my period (from start of period to start of period). They would last almost exactly seven days. I would start with a very heavy flow and then fade off into a very light flow with minimal bleeding by the last 5-7 days. My last period was about three weeks ago and it was only very, very light bleeding (almost not at all) and it only lasted three days! I thought I might be pregnant (because I am sexually active with my husband and had intercourse without protection the day my "period" started). So far, all pregnancy tests have come up negative. Then, all of a sudden after only two weeks, I started my period again (three weeks between start to start). My flow was VERY heavy. I usually have a heavy flow to start, but I was bleeding so badly that I had to change my pad every half hour to an hour to keep from bleeding all over my clothes.
Some other things to note are that I have recently been under a great deal of stress and have suffered from diagnosed depression since I was a teenager. I am now 26. Also, I binge drink every other week or so. I have also been diagnosed with ovarian cysts at more than one time but was just told "they go away on their own." I am not taking any medication, prescription or otherwise. I smoke a pack of cigarettes a day.
Am I pregnant? Did I have a miscarriage, maybe, due to the drinking? Do I have cancer? Is it the stress?
