Can someone please give me any advice on this?

For several months now, the pain comes and goes.... it begins just as an annoying itching... almost impossible to ignore...... unconciously itching at night....... In the morning, it generally burns if toilet paper touches it.... it burns after a bowel movement, especially if I've strained.... could it be a hemorrhoid??? I've always thought that hemorrhoids only developed inside the anus or around the direct anus area.... does that also include the perineal area? I live in a 3rd World country, and sadly sometimes sanitation isn't the best... especially the water situation...... Could this have played a factor in it?

Someone please help!!! :( :( :(

  • I have the same problem and assumed it was a yeast infection. I took the yeast infection tablet and unfortunately the itching continued. I've made a doctors appointment now to diagnose the itching and I think you should as well. You need to confirm what the problem is before you can treat it even with home remedies and only a doctor would know best. Do not be shy going to the doctor with this they deal with this kind of stuff all the time. I'm not sure if you are sexually active, but it may also be caused from unprotected sex. I advise you use a condom after you get this treated and I also suggest your partner be tested for STD's. Hope this helps!

They may be external (easy to treat) or internal (a bit tougher to treat) but they're NEVER located in the perianal area.Hate to pry but...it would be quite a bit easier to narrow things down if I knew your gender. (And, no...as "blaze" may claim...I'm not in the least bit gender biased!). HOWEVER...s a man has yet to have an ovarian disorder...and very few women gt stuck with enlarged prostate glands...there is a DEFINITE difference!Best,John<
