Penis tingling sensation... Docs don't know.

I'm 20, been feeling a chronic tingling sensation in my penis since as long as I can remember (early childhood?). It's on the bottom of the penis near the tip.

It's an undescribable feeling - Feels like a mix of peeing, tickling and discomfort, yet not too strong of a feeling that it's ruined my life or anything...

I went to the docs when I was like 9 - They told me to just pour cold water on it if it feels uncomfortable (which doesn't do much by the way). I think it's a problem with my nerves. Mine can't be an STD or anything because I haven't had sex.

I've googled for hours trying to figure out what it is, but no luck. Docs don't know, I don't know. I just know this can't be normal.

Any ideas? This is very puzzling...

  • Does this sound familiar? It's as if you feel that you need to pee even though your bladder feels completely empty? The tingle goes away right after you urinate, then minutes later it comes back like it was before?Very slight tingle at the very tip of the penis (all day, everyday)? These are my symptoms I've had EVERYDAY now for 8 months, I've seen tons of doctors... urologists... antibiotics... nothing fixes it? Sounds very similar to what you have. My urologist swears up and down it's prostatitis (chronic), and compares it to bumping your funny bone... your pinky finger tingles? What have doctors told you so far?

  • ever since i can remember my penis has tingled and i have to constantly move my leg to relieve my self of the feeling. It does not hurt, it is just extreme discomfort. i am 19 and have had sex a lot with the same woman but it cant be an std because i can remember it doing this at age 4my nerve doctor swears up and down it is a bad nerve in my foot, but im like huh, we r talking about my penis. i can getan erection and sometimes it will go away, likewise when i pee and ejaculate, but moments later it returns. any body else do this?

  • i get the same ****, i think it also has to do with a verve because i swear i feel it in my foot sometimes too, sometime even up to my ***n arm, it stays on the left side, i thought maybe it was an irritation from a condom; but, its not painful or anything, just very annoying, there has to be something that can be done, but since i'm seeing people having this problem for years, i guess its not life threatning, hopefully someone can come up with something

  • I too have...at least what seems like this problem. It got better over the course of a few weeks, but then all of the sudden came back. Both times, I had Sauerkraut 4 hours before the initial feeling began (only times I've ever had it.) And just to connect with the user above, leg pains, foot pain, (all on the left side) I have them too. :( I'm very uncomfortable.

  • Tingling on/in the tip of my penis was driving me nuts for about a year. The Urologist told me it wasn't any meds I was on and offered no treatment or advice.I scoured the internet looking for help and studying the side effects of all my medicines- found nothing. One by one I stopped taking my medicines until THE TINGLING STOPPED after going off ADDERALL (I think the generic is called Amphedimine Salts). I went back on the Adderall and the tingling returned- at every dose. I switched to Ritalin and the tingling came back- but once I lowered the dose the tingling went away- that was 2 years ago- I'm fine now.My suggestion: UNDER THE WATCHFUL EYE OF YOUR DOCTOR select one of the drugs you are taking and (If doctor says its safe to do) gradually reduce the dosage or go off the drug. If tingling isn't gone in a few days go back on that medicine and begin the same process with your next medicine.Remember- this just MY experience. ONLY DO THIS WITH YOUR DOCTOR's APPROVAL.

  • What if you are not taking any meds?I was fine for a while...or after ejaculating it would be there, but then would go away after 1-2 hours...and now i haven't ejaculated in days and it hasn't gone away :(i take 0 meds. i have good BP...good cholesterol...i workout...everything. Actually, while i was having sex...i think it went away, but i dont know besides that.I'm f'ing 24...what is the deal with my penis. My dad is a doc and I am too afraid to ask him anything especailly after most said their specialists couldn't figure out ****.Which btw...i have tingling in my right arm as if it were tennis elbow (i did have had tennis elbow from october to january...but that went away for a while). The only thing i can say is i notice it more when is it on my laptop in my bed and it bends my foot and my wrists more. maybe its just putting stress on the nerve?

  • Hi, I'm female, but I know how you feel about nobody being able to find anything...it's so aggravating...I've had my problem since I was 17, and I'm 25 now, and I still don't have a answer. :( Maybe you could talk to your dad about this; he probably won't give you the brush-off like so many of us have gotten from doctors, and maybe he'll take you seroiusly and run some tests. And who knows, maybe you'll find out why; it can't hurt to try, right? Belive me, just because something seems like it's unrelated, doesn't mean it's not...I have all kinds of symptoms that nobody thinks they have anything to do with anything, even though most have showed up at the same time. Have you had any more tests?

  • Well I'm no doctor, but still I'm a male... From the symptoms you're getting & your age, I can think of 1 things. I'm right now 19, but I remember being on ritlin and a few other ones...At first I was just told "You're a teen, your body just want to get off." by my counselor, but after a bit they noticed limb spasm & shakes. Now my question would be, did those symptoms happen WHEN you took them?If you're taking Anti-depressants, ADD/ADHD meds, or anything relating and it happens, chances you're having a side effect.I stopped mine, and I was fine afterwards... Before though, I would be sitting in school desks high-wired (can't even sit still & tingled), and yeah didn't hurt but was not fun. Appearently some meds for some people will have added effects, reason doctors would say "Not for everyone".Now plenty of doctors wouldn't know, it's hard to describe & point out!I spent weeks with mine, and she concluded I was suffering the "Jitters" from Wellbutrin & Ritlin.I switched meds & was ok, you may want to try to do such yourself & see results.

  • This is going on with me and there is a few things I'm crediting it to. First off, I've been doing a lot of cocaine. I have read in previous posts that ADD medicine is the cause for some people's problems. Well Adderall an amphetamine and so is coke, so I think that has something to do with it. Plus, I've been trying this new masterbation technique to last longer in the sack, and I think that has something to do with it. So try to change your masterbation technique, quit doing coke and Adderall, and don't **** any sleezies without a condom, cause I also did that and it may be why it tingles. It feels good to rub it though.

  • I'm 38 and for the past 2 weeks I'm having the same symptoms. Incredibly annoying sensation. I do not take any meds, I rarely drink, I don't do any drugs, I'm married and faithful to my wife, have not changed any eating or drinking habits. Nothing is different in my life 2 weeks prior to this than it is now. I try sitting differently or moving my junk around to a different position in my pants, but nothing changes it. I can't believe as many male doctors that are out there that none of them have a freakin' clue. I would think some of them would have the same problem.

Yet for 4 days now I have had the same tingly feelings and sensations, constantly feel like I need a wee, but mostly when I go only a small amount comes out and thats in in bursts and drips, then sometimes I go and its the usual flow? I have been tested for water infections and got the all clear today. However I am still tingling and getting this feeling. Surely someone knows what it is? It can't be growing pains - too late for that - it ain't gonna grow any more now (sadly) and it isn't any of the other things previously mentioned because I'm not taking any meds or a teenager. By the way the feeling is also a mild version of the feeling prior to ejaculation (so not all bad). Still, I would like to know the cause and make sure that it isn't a sign of any prostate problem.

  • Herpes? I'm no expert but from reviews even if you are not having an outbreak, shouldn't it burn? Or perhaps at some point have an outbreak, I mean he did state that he had had this problem for quite a bit, I'm sure one or two outbreaks should of ocurred during Thisbe period, especially if he was oblivious to the so called "herpes" he wouldt of taken any threatment to supress the virus, so I don't think STD would be a diagnosis because instead of the burning sensation described for the STD it's a tickle , everybody has specifically stated that it's a non life threathing or altering pain just a mild discomfort
