Just the last couple of days I've had pain in my right side of my pelvis bone. It's a comes and goes within seconds and is like a short sharp pain. I just got done with my menstrual cycle so I dont' believe I'm pregnant and I've been married for over 4 years so I don't believe it is an std. Help please.

  • Sounds like it may be an ovarian cyst. I have had countless ovarian cysts, which were benign, and they can form before, during and/or after your menstrual cycle. A simple CT Scan can tell you for certain. Know, however, that they do form then burst and once burst won't show on the CT Scan. Ask your doctor for a referral for the CT Scan and tell him/her you believe you may have a cyst. That's the best way to find out and, if negative but persists each month, request a repeat test immediately upon onset of pain. Or to expedite, go to your local ER and have them perform the test immediately. Best of luck! For me, the answer was hysterectomy but only because I had a multitude of female issues that went along with the cysts.
